The American Dream is Dead
As we gather with loved ones this week, it’s okay to admit that Christmas Eve might feel a little heavy. Many of us are holding both gratitude and grief, love and worry, closeness and uncertainty all at once.
Systemic shifts have made the version of the “American Dream” many of us grew up with in the ’80s feel increasingly out of reach, and acknowledging that can be part of our healing.
Perhaps this season is gently inviting us to reframe our expectations and remember what the holidays are truly about: community, care, and collective love ❤️
Happy holidays
